An Energy Assessment is a free assessment of your home.

Meet with an Energy Specialist that will find energy-saving opportunities in your home. You will receive a report later that day with all the energy saving opportunities.

You’ll receive free energy-saving products such as:

  • ENERGY STAR® certified LED bulbs
  • Advanced power strips
  • Low-flow showerheads
  • Faucet aerators

During our walk-through for your home energy assessment, we will mainly focus on the attic, heating & cooling systems, exterior walls, basement, crawl spaces, windows, & doors.

Whether you are a renter, home owner, or landlord, all customers are eligible for Mass Save® & NHSaves® Home Energy Assessments.

Whether you are a home owner, renter, or a landlord, all targeted air sealing services for draft elimination and energy loss prevention are free. For weatherization services, all customers will receive 75-100% off the total costs, while renters, those within certain income guidelines, or those who have scheduled services for multiple units will receive 100% free, no-cost services.

After your Home Energy Assessment and completion of Weatherization services, you will notice a decrease in your monthly and yearly utility costs. Those who utilize LED light bulbs and water-saving devices after their assessment will receive immediate reductions in their total utility bills.

I live in Arlington MA. and called Mass Save for a free energy audit and they sent an auditor from AVID Energy Solutions. I spoke with Kelly on the phone a few times and we worked out a plan and a day for them to come. Kelly was very friendly, personable and helpful on several occasion and she is obviously a great asset to the company. A couple weeks later, three hard working gentlemen came and did a great job adding insulation to the attic and a large crawl space and to the basement in a few areas that needed attending to. They also added weather stripping to all exterior doors to remove any drafts. All of this work was 100% free to me because of my lower income status and it will save me a lot of energy use and money. After a lot of very hard work that took the three men most of the day they cleaned up very well and left. Very friendly and professional!
